Direct to Garment
DTG printing disclaimer
Your new HBCU ArtWear product or apparel is made to order. The print on your shirt may vary slightly from the mockup image. Print color/placements can vary from order-to-order, or within an order. We use direct-to-garment or DTG printing for most of our apparel products. It’s like using a regular printer, but on garments. Designs are printed directly onto the garment and absorbed into the fabric. When unpacking your new shirt or hoodie with a direct-to-garment (DTG) print, you might notice a vinegar-like smell or an off-white residue. Don’t worry, that’s not unusual – it’s from a fixation agent applied during the printing process and it’s not permanent. By ordering from us, you agree to accept these characteristics of DTG t-shirt printing.
